InnoGames is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year – and we have a great reason for you to celebrate as well!

From July 3rd to July 31st you can take a trip down memory lane and play Grepolis version 1.26.9 – one of the final versions before the global transition to Grepolis 2.0 in 2011.

Enjoy old school graphics and the limited feature set of Grepolis 1 while challenging other alliances on our special international world “Antiquity”. This world will become available on July 3rd at approximately 13:00 CEST at classic.grepolis.com!

Antiquity has the following configuration settings:

• World speed: 6
• Unit Speed: 6
• Trade Speed: 6
• System: Conquest
• Beginner’s Protection: 3 days
• Alliance limit: 200
• Morale: inactive
• Starting gold: 5.000

Additionally the following main features are not available: Hades and Artemis, Battle point villages, heroes, island quests, events, world wonders & The Phoenician Trader. You can find a full summary with all information about this world on our English wiki.

Join us for this limited time travel experience and learn how players conquered Greece with their alliance more than 6 years ago!

For all participating adventurers we also have a small surprise: The top 3 players in the ranking will be rewarded with 5.000 gold for their regular player accounts.*

Dear community,

We are overwhelmed by the high number of players who want to join us on our special anniversary world and happy to see that we still have so many veterans among us.

Unfortunately we are experiencing some load related performance issues, which may cause slow response times and “error 502 – bad gateway” to be shown occasionally. In order to keep this game world as enjoyable as possible, we have therefore lowered the total player limit and may sporadically pause registrations to give our servers some time to catch up with the high amount of actions that are already being issued in this early game phase.

We are of course aware that you would all like to experience this game world yourselves. Therefore we are of course also investigating potential performance improvements to possibly increase the player limit further. However, seen as this classic world has limited technical support, we will likely not be able to guarantee a world that is completely free of any lag spikes and/or other load related issues.

We would like to thank you for your patience and understanding and hope to see you all at one point or another on Antiquity!

We're happy to communicate that after several investigations, the recent technical changes seem to have improved the situation.
For this reason, we're going to open the world to 500 more players today, and if everything goes smooth we'll have 500/1000 more free spots for tomorrow!
