When you put the cursor over a specific city you can click the center icon and it will give you the regular info layout. But what I suggest is if you or an alliance member of yours is occupying the town and you had sent support to help hold that town you should be able to see all supporting units in that town. So that way you can encourage others to send more if you think it is light or you can send more yourself if you think there is not enough support in the city.
