went to sleep last night and troops are gone in the morning ... under protection so no attacks came in.... just vanished

just a thought, did you send them on a quest?
a quick check in the agora might tell you if they are alive and well but deployed

Yes, that's indeed the first thing I'd check, if the troops were involved in an island quest

What about the units, if you press F5?

Unfortunatly we have again a few update problems. I had just have an empty barrack this evening, but I really remember that I had given seven orders for building. It was very strange, but F5 helps again.
