How do I researc military so I can have the other troops beside the troops you get when you atart the game.

To research troops or special abilities you need an Academy. To construct your Academy you require:

100 Wood, 200 Rock, 120 Silver
Senate level 8
Farm level 6
Barracks level 5
3 available farm space.
