Reproduction steps:

I was sending deff LDU in a empty city (no ghost) and sending attack from same islands to free BHP Space, but usually one gets off bash and deff bash. I did 2 attack = 4 reports, the bash point counter did not move, stayed at 173:

I should have gotten battle points 118+672+169+607=1'566 + a few for small city bonus :

The change regarding battle points for "battles" against own units in other players´ cities seems to have escaped your attention:

Attacking (or defending against) own troops will now result in 0% battle points (as shown in your screenshots), attacking or defending against troops of alliance or pact members will result in 20% of the usual battle points.

As @Draba Aspera said the battle falls exactly in the described case, though the info icon is missing...
