Athena's protection is gone?

What the hell? I'm under attack, someone from my alliance casts city protection, the attack hits!

I'm under attack again, I cast city protection on my city and guess what, my city is being conquered!
If it gets taken i want it back.

City Protection only protects you against God Powers and can be used as offensive or as defensive God Power.

Eg when you want to conquer someone, cast city protection at your target so that none of his friends can drop chariots with Zeus at the town.

My bad. Didn't this use to be this way though? I think I recall protecting someone with Athena from a troop attack, so i guess they changed it...

if they did change it, it's useless now.

Always been like that, and it's a pretty powerfull god power that you can use as attacker or as defender.
