Are ships unnecessary to conquer ghost towns?

You can send back your lightships on a conquest, but if you have no battle ships defending your CS the first naval attack (even with 1 bireme only) will probably end your conquest and sink your colo ship.

my conquest was successful.

were I there only 7 hoplites, rapid transport boat. then nothing.

No single Hydra without Bireme and no lightship were there.

emptied Have local caching, logged out and logged me again. I also saw how my lightship returned from the successful conquest. The fire ship that colony ship escorted, yet arrived at the home port before the city was conquered.

Or it has something to do with it?

After the conquest normal time man can deduct all the ships down to the colony ship and conquest can not be terminated by lightships, as the port is empty. cool bug

No, sorry @* Arci *, but since a much discussed change made two or three years ago, you cannot withdraw all the battle ships that had accompanied your CS attack from a siege. You will receive this error message when you try to do so:

Utuanahera should not have been able to withdraw his/her only battle ship from the siege.

However, when the city besieged has the research "democracy" active, you will not receive this error message during the additional 10% of the siege time, and during this additional siege duration you will be able to withdraw all the battle ships you had sent with your CS, as it seems.

And that´s a bug, as far as I can see.

We tried to reproduce the bug but everything always worked properly (can't send back lighthips).

Do you have any additional details (something else weird found on this situation) to share with us?
 
I cannot provide additional information, only summarize what I know of this case.

- World: zz5
- City ID: 17840 (most likely - city name has been changed, but the city was conquered that day)
- It was a ghost town at that time
- Democracy was researched (thinking of it, it´s weird in itself that democracy should have affected the conquest time in a ghost town. If I remember right, democracy should not affect ghost towns, and this research does not even exist on hyperborea worlds.)
- However, we still have this strange issue with the actual server time lagging one hour behind, and the issue described above seems to have occurred around midnight. I don´t know whether this could cause such strange effects.

Maybe the logfiles can help solve the riddle. I must admit that I´m curious by now...^^
